Background
The Information Management Division is one of the divisions that plays a role in providing service facilities and support to all divisions in the Ministry of Economy.
Objectives
- To provide computer service facilities to the divisions in the Ministry of Economy for the planning of the country's economic policies. To ensure that the analysis of economic data can be carried out easily, quickly, and efficiently.
- To provide complete equipment and software to accommodate the ever-changing needs of computer facilities.
- To ensure that the officers and staff of the Ministry of Economy are equipped with adequate knowledge of computer technology through continuous training programs.
Main Functions
- To plan and provide resources and information and communication technology services to support the objectives and functions of the Ministry of Economy.
- To plan, research, design, develop, implement, and maintain systems/applications and databases to support the operational and management functions of the Ministry of Economy.
- To provide ICT infrastructure for the Ministry of Economy, such as designing, developing, maintaining, coordinating, upgrading, and overseeing the operation of the Local Area Network (LAN) and INTERNET systems.
- To manage the maintenance and operation of all hardware and software to ensure they are in good working condition.
- To manage, implement, coordinate, enforce, and monitor ICT security in the Ministry of Economy.
- To provide ICT training programs and foster ICT culture among the Ministry of Economy personnel.
- To provide advisory/support services and a help desk for computer users in the Ministry of Economy.
As a division that provides Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services and support to all divisions in the Ministry of Economy, this division is determined to implement the set goals and strategies to ensure all customers receive fast and effective services.
This division pledges to carry out the entrusted tasks and responsibilities with full dedication to always move towards achieving the Ministry of Economy’s objectives. In providing services to customers, we pledge to:
- Provide the latest ICT facilities in compliance with the standards outlined by the Government;
- Ensure that computer networks and all developed application systems meet user requirements, are easy to use, and function fully at all times;
- Ensure the security of computer networks, information in databases, and other classified information is always maintained;
- Develop and complete application systems along with documentation and training within a period not exceeding nine (9) months from the date of application, subject to the finalized user requirements and the complexity of the developed system;
- Provide feedback on every complaint received within no more than one (1) working day, provide technical assistance within no more than two (2) working days, and resolve issues within a period of three to five (3 – 5) working days, subject to the availability of replacement parts from the supplier;
- Ensure the content on the Ministry of Economy’s website and other websites managed by the Ministry is always up-to-date according to the established SOP and is accessible at all times;
- Update the database within one (1) week from the date of data receipt and generate finalized reports within five (5) days from the application date;
- Provide computer equipment facilities with a one (1) PC per officer ratio (1:1); and
- Ensure that Ministry of Economy staff are exposed to the latest ICT technologies through awareness programs and training held regularly at least twice a year.
