INTRODUCTION

The Finance Division was established to improve efficiency in financial management, procurement, payments, and revenue collection at the Ministry, Department, and Agency levels.

OBJECTIVES

  • To plan all financial and procurement activities based on the current financial regulations in force.
  • To ensure that accounting services and financial management information are carried out efficiently according to the law, financial regulations, and Government Accounting Standards in force.
  • To ensure that payments and revenue are accurately accounted for and comply with applicable financial regulations.
  • To provide high-quality and effective advisory services in accounting and financial services in line with best practices.

FUNCTIONS

  • To plan, coordinate, manage, and monitor the preparation of the Ministry and Agency Operating Budget under the Ministry of Economy (B.15), implementing and overseeing expenditures in accordance with applicable financial policies, instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • To process all completed approval papers from Divisions/Departments/Agencies to the Procurement Board/Quotation Committee.
  • To approve expenditures for Capital Assets, Overseas, Rate Approval, Procurement, and External Office at the Ministry, Department, and Agency levels.
  • To control the management of Salary Payments, Contracts, Claims, and Local Orders.
  • To control the management of Government Revenue and Trust Accounts.

The Finance Division will remain committed to providing high-quality services based on efficiency, accuracy, speed, and integrity. In this regard, we will ensure that the following matters are implemented:

  • To issue the allocation warrant within five (5) working days after receiving approval from the authorized party.
  • To settle bill payments within 14 working days from the date of receiving the complete application.
  • To issue local orders within seven (7) working days from the date of receiving the complete application.
  • To process official overseas duty applications within 14 working days from the date of receiving the complete application to obtain approval from the Controlling Officer.
  • Financial review applications will be provided within seven (7) days from the date of receiving the application.
